- “City at a Crossroads,’’ 2006 second-place award winner for enterprise from NEAPNEA
- The “Forgotton Class,’’ 2005 Publick Occurrences award winner from Nieman Fellows at Harvard University and the first series ever reprinted in two languages by The Republican
- Grady also led freedom of information efforts that won The Republican the first- and second-place FOI awards from NEAPNEA in 2005; first place in 2006, and first place in 2005 from the New England Newspaper Association
